Skydio, quite sadly, is garbage compared to DJI.

Lets keep in mind that we dont know if any of this is true. . . These people been messing with our reality for years. And people would even believe someone because of a letter. I need proof. I mean a powered off drone does not send anything from the drone. It cuts its transmission with my phone immediately when its turned off. I had an issue with a DJI drone and they fixed it. They had to ask me for my flight data. . . Clearly something they wouldnt have done had they already had it. I dont understand why they want us to dislike other countries. The US has its fair share of problems

Their argument is DJI is doing what big pharma, tech, and ag do in America which is get in cahoots with big government to create a cartel that dominates and controls the world. So this is a bit far fetched. Sorry but it is. I pull the battery out of my drone after use anyway. So no way it is doing this. But, after first watching your video I put my drone in my Faraday cage - with a battery installed and fully charged. I then setup test equipment to watch for any attempt at transmission by the drone. (The cage prevents any radio signals from exiting and also from entering - thus allowing me to test for only signals or transmissions from the drone.) I looked for any transmission across the entire possible radio spectrum and ran the test for 24 hours. And I got nada, nothing, bupkis no attempts at all. But I am not one to give up. I then repeated the same test after flying the drone the next day around my yard and then doing the same thing. Put in cage and test. Same result. That testing ended a few hours ago. Oh, the remote was put in a separate cage to prevent any transmissions as well or 'talking' to the drone. Sorry but until I see more data showing the frequency used, the transmission method etc I cannot believe this is happening. Show me solid scientifically verifiable proof this is happening. Hopefully they release this 'data' but I suspect this is another example of fear mongering rabid people promoting their own strange agenda.

Skydio abandoned the consumer market and now wants to stop us from buying chinese drones.

It makes me laugh when they say the Chinese are cheating. Where and how? Or is it just a simple case that the USA can not manufacture drones as good as DJI and therefore their only way out is to ban them. You Americans like to scream and shout that you're the best, well then, prove it. With this stupid case you just show that you're sore losers.

skydio is a defense contractor primarily their products have nothing to do with hobbyists. The only threat right now to our national security is our own government and it's idiotic foreign policies.

A great pitch for Skydio however I question how the consumer will react. I agree that the Chinese are not always playing fairly but banning of sales is not going to help the industry in USA.

The US, a nation in decline, has become incredibly insecure and frightened of everything. Whenever it can't compete, Washington suddenly hates capitalism, open markets, and affordable prices for American consumers. It'll use poor excuses like "national security" and other creative wording to justify its cowardly policies.

So they are basing their opinions based on one person who is the owner of an American drone company that is clearly trying to monopolize the US market and at the sametime can't compete, so like a baby going to their parents complaining about how he can't compete with his competition instead of doing what he should be doing to know how to compete, this is so pathetic. And almost the whole committee is not even asking on how just very simply to make dji drones or any other drone companies software safer and not posing any "national security threat"!!!

I am a farmer have purchased a DJI Drone to spray my crops with fungicide to fight off diseases that can devastate my crops. These are not small drones, they cost anywhere from $20,000 to $60,000. If the ban goes through I have just wasted a lot of money that I will not be able to recoup. I can not help it that the Chinese are more advanced in technology than the United States, most everything you buy comes from China. I think congress needs to slowdown on all there new bans from China, because the United States does not make much of anything anymore, the big corporates in the United States have been buying everything from China because it is cheaper and they can make more money. And the big corporations line members of congress's pockets with large donations! Americans are getting screwed by their own members of congress! American people need to wake up!

The US CANNOT compete with DJI. And there for there is no competition for DJI. Just watched the CEO testify in a committee meeting. Sounds like Skydio is going bankrupt. They're drones are like buying a Mercedes Benz it may look good but internally it's junk and it's a pretty paper weight!🤣🤣🤣
